We are looking for a Supervisor with good business sense to join our team. The supervisor’s responsibilities will include monitoring staff, crops & livestock, purchasing supplies, preparing budgets and reports and ensuring maximum profits for the farm. The individual should be able to maintain professional networks and keep abreast of developments in agricultural science. Must also have lots of experience on piggery and poultry farming.
Duties And Responsibilities
– Analysing existing operations, staff, crops, livestock, financial documents and recommending improvements.
– Visiting different divisions to inspect crops and livestock.
– Scheduling repairs, maintenance and replacement of equipment and machinery.
– Ensuring all staff adherence to health and safety regulations.
– Assisting with recruitment and training of existing and new staff members.
– Collaborating with senior staff to prepare budgets and financial reports.
– Building professional networks and keeping abreast of developments in agricultural science
Features:
- Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science or equivalent.
- Additional courses in business management or administration will be an added advantage.
- Extensive experience in farming and managing 15 hectares and above.
- A passion in agriculture
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good communication skills
